The Maestro looks and works just like the stock controls. I tried two different Metra kits, and hated them both. After having two vehicles with Sync, I will never buy another with it (or delete it shortly after purchase.) It's garbage. It would have added about $100 if I wanted steering wheel controls and Sync. The harness and faceplate combined to be less than $70. You can get that head unit now for $450 and is still better than any factory Nav unit when utilizing an Android device to run Android Auto with Google voice recognition and Google Maps for navigation.

Add $100 for the idata harness if you have steering wheel controls and Sync. This is the invoice for my Pioneer AVH-4200NEX with dash kit and base wiring harness. Maybe you're just being had by stereo shops? That's the second time in the last few days I've seen someone make a statement like this. I also bought idata link connector that does a lot for the stereo.Īnd a picture of my Kenwood, using the dash kit that I told you about. It comes complete with ***** for your HVAC, defrost etc. The dash kit I bought, and it looks just like the stock dash is Maestro K-150. And you can retain those controls using various harnesses, and modules.

The steering wheel controls for the stereo, I believe are there, depending on different options. Yes you can put your double din stereo in the newer F150. It does have a 4" screen that gives time, temp, stereo functions etc. I used Crutchfield, and had a terrible time. Thoughts? JimHey Jim, I've been through this in the last year. How about installing mine in these? It would be nice to find one with a backup camera and hook it up to my radio. Can I install a Double DIN radio? Do these models have radio buttons on the steering wheel, etc? Low end radios on the newer trucks appear to have no screen. I may want to put it in the new truck, depending on what I buy. I currently have an '04 F-150 with an aftermarket Pioneer double DIN radio Nav, bluetooth, backup camera, phone, etc. Looking at buying a used 2013 or 2014 F-150 Crew.
